Refund Policy
Last Updated: June 29, 2026
1. Overview
TalkDa uses Paddle as its payment provider and merchant of record for paid digital products and subscription services. Refunds, cancellations, and withdrawal rights for purchases processed through Paddle are handled in accordance with Paddle’s Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
If there is any inconsistency between this Refund Policy and Paddle’s Refund Policy, Paddle’s Refund Policy and any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law will apply.
2. Free Services
TalkDa may provide free services. Free services, free trials, promotional access, or unpaid features are not eligible for a refund because no payment has been made.
3. Refund Request Periods
The refund request period depends on the customer’s country or region and the type of refund request.
- South Korea: Customers may request a full refund within 7 days from the date of the transaction, in accordance with Paddle’s Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
- Canada: Customers may request a full refund within 7 days from the date of the transaction, in accordance with Paddle’s Refund Policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
- United States: Unless required by applicable law, transactions may be non-refundable. However, Paddle may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis if the request is submitted within 14 days from the date of the transaction or, for subscription renewals, within 14 days from the date of the latest renewal transaction.
- Other regions: Refund rights and request periods may vary depending on applicable local law and Paddle’s Refund Policy.
To exercise any refund or cancellation right, the customer must submit the refund request within the applicable period stated above.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
4. Technical or Product Defects
If you experience persistent technical issues, a material product defect, or a problem that prevents you from accessing the features or benefits described, please contact TalkDa first so that we can try to resolve the issue.
If the issue cannot be resolved, you may request a refund through Paddle. Where there is evidence of a material technical or product defect, Paddle may issue a refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and Paddle’s Refund Policy.
5. Discretionary Refunds
Unless required by applicable law, transactions may be non-refundable. However, Paddle may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis if the request is submitted within 14 days from the date of the transaction or, for subscription renewals, within 14 days from the date of the latest renewal transaction.
Submitting a refund request within 14 days does not guarantee approval. Paddle may consider factors such as the nature of the product, the reason for the request, usage or consumption, applicable contractual terms, and relevant legal requirements.
6. Subscriptions and Future Billing
If a subscription is not eligible for a refund, you may still cancel the subscription to prevent future billing. Cancellation will normally take effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated by Paddle or required by applicable law.
7. How to Request a Refund
For payments processed by Paddle, please request a refund through one of the methods supported by Paddle, including:
- the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your transaction confirmation email;
- the support link provided in your receipt or billing page; or
- Paddle’s buyer support site.
You may also contact TalkDa support for assistance, but Paddle is responsible for reviewing and processing refund requests for transactions processed through Paddle.
8. Refund Method and Processing Time
If a refund is approved, Paddle will generally process the refund to the original payment method where possible. Approved refunds are generally processed within 14 days of approval, although the actual time for the funds to appear may vary depending on the payment method, bank, card issuer, and region.
9. Abuse and Fraud
Refunds may be refused where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, chargeback abuse, or other manipulative behavior, in accordance with Paddle’s Refund Policy and applicable law.
10. Changes to This Policy
TalkDa may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of the transaction will apply, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
